Photo Contest

Rules and Conditions

1. The Photo Contest is organized and held by www.manuginobili.com. The site reserves the right to use the entries for non-commercial purposes.

2. Contest Theme: contestants must submit a picture, which expresses their “Passion for Basket”.

3. Contestants: all registered members of www.manuginobili.com (of any nationality) can enter the contest. To register enter here.

4. Entering the contest: contestants must submit one (1) or two (2) photos, respecting the proposed theme, at this free-hosting site: www.lafoto.com.ar. Then, contestants must post the pictures at the Photo Contest forum of www.manuginobili.com. All photos must be captioned with a word, a phrase or a sentence. Both the photos and its captions will be evaluated to determine the winner.

5. Photo size: up to one (1) MB

6. Equipment: all types of cameras are permitted. From professional gear to cell phones.

7. Copyright: only pictures taken by the contestants themselves are allowed. Third parties or agency photos are strictly forbidden. In case of copyright violations, contestants will be held the sole responsible. The contest organizer reserves the right to disqualify any photo suspicious of copyright violations.

8. Post-production software, Photoshop or other similar devices are strictly forbidden. The contest organizer reserves the right to disqualify any photo suspicious of non-compliance of this rule.

9. Quantity of photos: all registered members can submit up to two (2) captioned photos.

10. Selection of the winning photo: from the launching date of the contest, participants will have two (2) weeks to submit their entries. An “Experts Committee”, composed by Manu, Alejo, Larra and Sershus, will select ten (10) finalist photos. A one week poll will be created for registered members to cast their votes for their favorite photo. The selected photo will earn one (1) point.
At the same time, the Experts Committee members will be also casting their secret votes. Each Manu vote will have a value of three (3) points, whereas Alejo, Larra ans Sershus’ votes will have a value of one (1) point each.
The picture with the highest score will be the winner. In case of a tie, votes will be cast again until a single picture obtains the highest score.

11. Prizes: the winner will receive an original signed t-shirt from Manu’s collection, plus the photo printed and signed by Manu. Both items will be sent by mail, to the address submitted by the contestant, free of charge.
During the contest surprise prizes may appear which will be posted at the Photo Contest forum at www.manuginobili.com.

12. Evaluation criteria: the Experts Committee will reward creativity first and foremost. The photo, and its caption, able to convey Passion for Basket most successfully will be named the winner. Technical issues, such as lightning, focus or framing, won’t be taken into consideration. Amateurs and professional photographers will have equal opportunities to win the contest.

13. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify a photo, as well as change the rules, the prizes or the contest duration at any instance.
